Moray's extensive Planning Law experience includes advising in relation to all aspects of the Beauly to Denny 400kV overhead transmission line and the South West Scotland electricity transmission upgrade, both projects listed within the National Planning Framework; inquiry advocacy in relation to local plan, housing and quarrying developments; appeals in relation to landfill and leisure developments, Section 75 Agreements in respect of Greengairs landfill site, the replacement Southern General hospital, quarries, windfarm, retail and housing developments.
In terms of Environmental Law, Moray has been engaged in the the legal review of environmental statements for various windfarms and overhead line projects; preparation of habitat management agreements; advised on the liability for contaminated land as well as acting for clients in appeals under Part II of the Environmental Protection Act 1990.
In respect of Roads Law, he has acted in relation to the M80 extension, prepared objections in relation to the M8 upgrade and has advised clients in relation to road adoption, rights of passage and stopping up orders as well as preparing agreements for maintenance in relation to the Roads (Scotland) Act 1984.
