John is a member of MacRoberts' Corporate Recovery Group. He has advised on a number of pre-pack transactions and administrations and advises insolvency practitioners and directors on the issues arising out of insolvency and near-insolvency situations, including directors' duties, wrongful trading, guarantees and retention of title issues.

He also advises clients on all aspects of commercial contracts and intellectual property matters.

John is also a member of MacRoberts’ EU and Competition Unit with particular experience in cartel investigations and leniency matters. He conducts competition law training for clients and assists businesses with the preparation and implementation of tailored compliance programmes. He also advises on state aid issues and merger control.
