We have considerable planning expertise advising clients on renewable energy projects. This draws on our comprehensive planning service including strategic advice on progressing proposals, negotiating planning agreements and community benefits packages, advising on the implications of environmental assessments, planning due diligence and planning appeals.
As well as acting for developers in relation to their planning and section 36 applications, we are also currently appointed by the Scottish Government to provide advice and support to the 34 planning and national park authorities on updating their wind energy policies in light of the revised SPP6 “Renewable Energy”.
